Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers (WPI Students Only)
This Position is Open Only to WPI Students: MQP, IQP, GQP and Master Projects or Thesis.
Project Goal
To create a graphical user interface (GUI) that makes it easy for someone with no prior knowledge of geophysics, radar systems, or gprMax to use the software.
To allow users to simulate radar wave propagation, objects, and environments without technical expertise.
The interface will also enable users to scale up simulations using High-Performance Computing (HPC) for large-scale simulations and data processing.
Users will define radar systems and the environment they are simulating (e.g., different terrains, materials, and subsurface structures).
Required Skills
Strong background in machine learning and data analysis, with the ability to apply ML algorithms to interpret complex radar signals.
Skills we are looking for:
Experience in signal processing and anomaly detection
Expertise in applying machine learning to time-series or spatial data
Experience with libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn
Background in using large-scale datasets for training and validation of ML models
